Did you know that there is a difference between serving sizes and portion sizes? A serving size is a measured amount of food or liquid that tells you the amount of calories and grams of nutrients you're consuming. A portion size is the amount of food or liquid YOU choose to ingest in a sitting. In the photo you'll see examples of what a common serving size would be for teaspoon sizes of oil, all the way to 8 or 9 ounces of meat or seafood. So keep this in mind as you eat through out the day, the volume of calories you consume can add up quicker than you think.
